David Lynch, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania, and attending neurologist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He received his M.D. and Ph.D., specializing in neuropharmacology, from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He was trained in neurology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he has remained for the last 25 years and published more than 100 peer reviewed papers. More than 40 of these papers are on NMDA receptors, and he is a member of the team at the University of Pennsylvania that initially characterized anti- NMDA-receptor encephalitis.
