The three winners will be awarded cash prizes, and the
first-place design will represent Brain Awareness Week as the new art for our 2019 BAW sticker, used by partners across the United States to promote the campaign.
Contest Entry Requirements
- All
images must be submitted as a high-resolution, Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
file AND a jpeg created at
300 dpi or higher.
- Stickers
must be a circle or square. The winning image will be sized
to fit on either a 3” circle or a 3” x 3” square.
- Hand
drawn submissions will not be considered.
Design criteria: Sticker designs must be original work and include the words “Brain Awareness Week 2019” and the URL
“dana.org/BAW”
Deadline: The deadline for submissions is Monday, October 15th. Entries
must be submitted to stickercontest@dana.org. Please use the email subject, “BAW Sticker Contest.” *To ensure your files are delivered, we recommend that you send your files as a compressed or zip file.*
Eligibility: The contest is open
to members of the public worldwide, but entrants are limited to one design per
person. Employees of the Dana Foundation and their family members are not
eligible to enter the contest.
Permissions: Entrants assert that
they either own or have the rights to all content used in their designs.
Entrants using third-party material (i.e. material not owned by entrant) must
have received explicit permission from the owner to use these materials. The
burden of determining that any material is not protected by copyright,
trademark, rights of privacy, publicity, or any other proprietary rights rests
with the entrant. The entrant shall bear the sole liability for any damage
resulting from any infringement of copyrights, proprietary rights, or any other
harm resulting from such a submission.
In addition, entrants
grant the Dana Foundation royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive
right and license to the images. EXAMPLE: The winning design will be used as
the 2019 Brain Awareness Week printed sticker and also in some Brain Awareness
Week posts on social media.
Judging: The top five
finalists will be selected by Dana Foundation staff in a blind review process.
Designs will be judged according to creativity and overall design. The public
will then vote on their favorite designs, and tallied votes will determine the
top three winners.
Prizes: The first- second-
and third-place winners will be awarded cash prizes of $300, $150, and $75
respectively.
