 I found your article hopeful. I have an adopted 11 yr old whose mother took drugs and alchol during her pregnancy. The last 3 years have been a nightmare! She was finally been diagnosed with a cognitive brain disorder. But now what? The school won't even work with me. She's in a bad behavioal school setting and she is declining fast. She also is so weak in executive skills, and her self esteem is null and void.
