 I am a pediatric neurologist. We are seeing an increasing number of children who are being labeled with neurological disorders on the basis of brain imaging, genetic testing, and standardized testing forms. They are being treated with multiple medications and given types of treatment based on these testing - not on the clinical issues. This is getting out of hand. I am seeing these children then develop seizures or migraine headaches or behavioral disorders due to these treatments. What are the ethics involved?
