 I am working with a 19 year old with epilepsy and learning disabilities, and am looking for information/ideas on HOW to use mistakes as a learning tool. The Socratic method of Q+A doesn't work. Receptive language issues prohibit long discussions. Student operates on about grade 7 in reading and 6 in math, but is "typical" in many respects.

 The area of Event Related Potential and Event Related Negativity is of great interest to me. For other's with a like interest, my favorite (and in my opinion, the most detailed study on the matter) has been this: http://cpl.psy.msu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Hajcak-Holroyd-Moser-Simons-2005.pdf It discusses ERN amplitudes and the effects thereof on error processing. It is a great read for those interested in the topic.
