Nancy Hanks Lecture with William Safire

William Safire, chairman of the Dana Foundation, gave the 19th annual Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy on March 13th at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Nancy Hanks served as chairwoman of Americans for the Arts, the sponsor of the lecture, and was chairwoman of the National Endowment for the Arts. She died in 1983.
