I just watched Dr. Tanzi's PBS program on the human brain -- covered a multitude of subjects and I got some great tips for improving my brain functioning and to make my thinking more efficient. I'm learning Spanish and know that will help overall. Also, not today, but I heard that learning how to juggle 3 balls improves a part of brain -- will see what I can do with that. I majored in psychology and have always had an interest in human behavior.

In my current studies of Alzheimer's and Dementia I've found that some people with Epilepsy have some of the same type of issues as they do. So music tends to help 'soothe the edges' as I say. I belong to my church and have found that I actually have been able to remember things better, and have a better disposition towards things. My brain, even though it may eventually, end up with Dementia or Alzheimer's due to my Epilepsy it isn't a sure thing. I just need to keep singing and reading my music. I say ROCK ON DOC!

Music is one of the few things always available to me that has the ability to tap directly into my emotional state. Learning to listen to it more carefully and appreciate it more fully has been one of my relatively short life's greatest pleasures. I'm glad Dr. Rudolph has found its joy in his own life, and that it has helped him help others.

How refreshing it is to see a brilliant scientist who has accomplished so much in his career, yet is so humble. Someone who is an accomplished musician as well. So much talent in one person and I know that in the future he and his lab will be the ones to at least come up with an effective prevention for this horrible disease.
