After 32 years, my car accident can finally be put to rest. I have tried beyond belief to reach the TBI community with this information, but now perhaps things can change. I hope for further investigation. I can waste no more time, money or effort to have neuroscience remain an entity in my mind. Thank you

After 32 years, I believe there has finally been a stride forward in TBI rehab! I have been lucky to have received this message. Now, if my doctors would only listen to me. Thank you, Prof. Ramachandran & Dr. Edelman, & my theater experience

I guess research funding for the investigation of long-term recovery in head injury/stroke survivors is one of the biggest challenges at the moment? Without it development of efficient rehabilitation methods seen impossible, despite progression in brain plasticity research and neuroimaging.

What is the best way to activate change? Over time families become exhausted trying to deal with lack of resources. Discretionary time goes to patient/family member rather than productive activism. What do the authors suggest that individuals do to effect change in this insufficient system?

Thank you for such a well written and informative article. My daughter is for years post TBI. She is proof that therapy will help get her better. I have attended all her therapies for four years and we reinforce those skills at home. She continues to improve daily. I wsh the insurance companies would help with therapy. I keep my fingers crossed!!!
