This grant is seeding the establishment of the Implantable Brain Computer Interface Collaborative Community (iBCI-CC), a cross-sector collaboration among groups with personal and/or professional interests in overcoming systemic challenges related to researching, developing, regulating, and paying for implantable BCI treatments.

This grant supports the American Brain Coalition (ABC) to collaborate with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to facilitate meaningful involvement of brain health community members in the regulatory device development process, and to establish a communication platform that strengthens relationships among brain health community members and with the FDA.

To continue support for BioBus’ Brain Awareness Week programming targeting underserved and underrepresented populations in New York City.

This grant supports the Dana Foundation’s membership in the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Forum on Neuroscience and Nervous System Disorders.

To continue support for two Secret Science Club/Dana Foundation collaborative talks on issues and topics within neuroscience and society.

This grant supported a national survey to study public understanding and perceptions of brain health research and neurotechnology, and to facilitate multidirectional engagement with academic, government, and public stakeholders with sensitivity to Americans’ interests, understanding, and concerns about neuroscience.
