The fourth event of the Dana Discovery Dialogues was held on January 24 from 3-4pm ET.
As we welcomed in the New Year, the Dialogues pondered the influences that affect our decision-making. Why do our brains sometimes fall for misinformation? How are algorithms taking advantage of these mechanisms on mass-communication platforms? Our expert panel will explore the neuroscience of decision-making and how our brains can be so easily influenced.
Speakers:
- Brian Knutson, Professor, Ph.D., Stanford University
- Stephanie Groman, Ph.D., University of Chicago Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care and Neuroscience Institute
- Paul Glimcher, Ph.D., New York University
