Jochen Ditterich

Jochen Ditterich, Ph.D., received his degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Munich, Germany in 2000. After a postdoc in the area of neurophysiology at the University of Washington, Seattle, he joined the UC Davis faculty in 2004, where he is currently an associate professor at the Center for Neuroscience and in the Department of Neurobiology, Physiology & Behavior. The Ditterich Lab studies neural mechanisms linking perception and action, with a particular emphasis on perceptual decision-making. The lab is also interested in decision-making deficits in patient populations and in the development of new neuroengineering techniques, which can be used as tools in basic neuroscience research but can also find translational applications.
