The Foundation is supporting a Civic Science Fellow to explore the societal implications of sleep neuroscience at the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory (CNLM) at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). The Fellow will explore the neuroscientific links between sleep and well-being in partnership with the people of Santa Ana, California, through dialogue and joint work between sleep neuroscientists and community members. Proactively engaging individuals from all backgrounds at this early stage of the discovery process will enable progress in sleep neuroscience to not only impact these communities, but also better reflect their experiences and needs.
