Farron McIntee, Ph.D.
Farron McIntee, Ph.D. is a translational neuroscience research scientist and higher education diversity, equity, and inclusion leader and educator focused on developing talent within STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine). As a Neuroscience & Society fellow at the Dana Foundation, Farron works to build programs in Dana NextGen. Before joining Dana, Farron served as the Director of the Research Enrichment Core of the NIH-funded ReBUILDetroit Scholars Program at Wayne State University. In that role, Dr. McIntee developed, implemented, and refined programmatic and institutional innovations that recruited and retained students into STEMM degree programs utilizing evidence-based approaches. She is dedicated to transforming institutional culture to increase and sustain diversity within the biomedical workforce. Dr. McIntee completed a Ph.D. in Pathology at New York University School of Medicine where she studied the factors that influence brain clearance and catabolism of the Amyloid-beta peptide. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Spelman College.
