Grant Information
This grant will continue support for the IBRO/Dana Foundation Brain Awareness Week grants program for the 2024 campaign. The program provides grants of up to $1,250 USD for outreach and engagement activities in Africa, Asia/Pacific, Latin America, and United States/Canada. The call for proposals opened in September 2023.
Both IBRO and the Foundation will recognize the partnership through coordinated promotion of the call for proposals, award announcements, and any other grant-related communications. The annual competitive process ensures that the best ideas and most innovative approaches to neuroscience outreach and engagement receive funding. The heightened activity in regions around the world and social media promotion generated by participants will amplify the importance of neuroscience and result in increased visibility to Brain Awareness Week, IBRO, and the Dana Foundation.
The IBRO/Dana grantees will be required to report on the results of their activities at the close of the 2024 campaign, and their reports will be shared with the Foundation.
This grant supports the Dana Education objective to support sustained informal education that aims to strengthen knowledge of neuroscience and its connections to society and empower people of all ages to use that knowledge in their every day lives.
