The Leadership Alliance
Grant Information
The Leadership Alliance Dana Neuroscience and Society Scholars Program provides intensive interdisciplinary research experiences in neuroscience and society for undergraduate students from racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and geographic backgrounds that are underrepresented in neuroscience. This follow-on funding will support Brown University, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Pennsylvania as continued training sites. In addition to the nine-week undergraduate summer mentored research experience, selected student scholars from historically black colleges and universities and MSI partner institutions will present their research at the Leadership Alliance National Symposium and participate in year-round professional development opportunities.
This grant supports the Dana NextGen objective to strengthen workforce development for careers within academia and beyond, empowering a new generation of scholars in neuroscience and society who will shepherd neuroscience’s positive role in the world.
