The Leadership Alliance Dana Neuroscience and Society Scholars Program provides intensive interdisciplinary research experiences in neuroscience and society for undergraduate students from racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and geographic backgrounds that are underrepresented in neuroscience. This follow-on funding will support Brown University and Johns Hopkins University as continued training sites as well as establish a third site at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to the nine-week undergraduate summer mentored research experience, selected student scholars from historically black colleges and universities and MSI partner institutions will present their research at the Leadership Alliance National Symposium and participate in year-round professional development opportunities.
