This grant supported a national survey to study public understanding and perceptions of brain health research and neurotechnology, and to facilitate multidirectional engagement with academic, government, and public stakeholders with sensitivity to Americans’ interests, understanding, and concerns about neuroscience.

The Foundation is supporting The Chicago Council for Science and Technology (C2ST) for a multidirectional engagement project using the tools of human-centered design (HCD) to surface the needs, interests, and attitudes of a diverse group of Chicago residents as they relate to brain health.

The Dana Foundation, together with other philanthropic foundations, supported a series of Congressional Neuroscience Caucus (CNC) briefings hosted by the American Brain Coalition (ABC).

This grant supports a Neuroscience and Society Design Sprint bringing together neuroscience researchers, policymakers, and community members to define challenges at the intersection of neuroscience and society, and to co-create and implement community-driven solutions that will translate neuroscience research into local societal impact.

As part of the Dana Center Initiative, this center will develop a novel community-participatory and community-embedded approach to neuroscience research and training.

This grant supports a pilot collaboration for six monthly Dana Discovery Dialogues bringing together diverse speakers on neuroscience and society topics, and a Dana Discovery Roundtable, for journalists who cover neuroscience and society topics, to help the Foundation better understand the needs of journalists who report on this field.
